1. About Bukiia

Bukiia is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of books in Cameroon. We make it easy to discover, buy, and sell books through one simple platform.

Bukiia is a marketplace only. We do not sell books ourselves, process payments, or provide delivery services. Buyers and sellers communicate directly to arrange payment and collection.

2. Eligibility

To use Bukiia, you must:

• •Be at least 18 years old.
• •Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
• •Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• •Keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Your Account

You must create an account to buy or sell books on Bukiia.

You agree to:

• •Provide truthful information.
• •Keep your login credentials secure.
• •Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
• •Use only one account unless we expressly authorize otherwise.

You may not transfer or sell your account to another person.

4. Marketplace Role

Bukiia only provides a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers.

Bukiia does not:

• •Own or inspect listed books.
• •Guarantee the accuracy of listings.
• •Participate in negotiations.
• •Process payments.
• •Handle shipping or delivery.
• •Guarantee that a transaction will be completed.

All agreements are made directly between buyers and sellers.

5. Payments

Bukiia does not collect, hold, or process payments.

Buyers and sellers communicate directly, typically through WhatsApp, and agree on their preferred payment method.

Bukiia is not responsible for:

• •Payment disputes.
• •Failed payments.
• •Fraudulent transactions.
• •Chargebacks.
• •Refunds.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that payments are made safely.

6. Delivery and Collection

Bukiia does not provide delivery services.

Buyers and sellers are responsible for arranging delivery, pickup, meeting locations, transportation, costs, and associated risks.

We recommend meeting in safe public places whenever possible.

7. Listings

Only books may be listed on Bukiia.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that listings:

• •Accurately describe the book.
• •Include genuine photographs.
• •State the correct condition.
• •Use truthful pricing.
• •Do not infringe the rights of others.

Sellers must remove listings that are no longer available.

8. Prohibited Content and Activities

You may not use Bukiia to:

• •List anything other than books.
• •Sell illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or unsafe items.
• •Post misleading or false information.
• •Upload offensive, abusive, or unlawful content.
• •Impersonate another person or organization.
• •Spam or harass other users.
• •Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.
• •Circumvent any security or moderation systems.
• •Violate any applicable law.

Bukiia reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms.

9. User Conduct

Users are expected to interact respectfully and honestly.

You agree not to:

• •Threaten or abuse other users.
• •Use offensive language.
• •Attempt to scam buyers or sellers.
• •Manipulate ratings or listings.
• •Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Platform.

10. Reporting Violations

Users may report listings, accounts, or behavior that violate these Terms.

Bukiia may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including removing listings or suspending accounts.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you:

• •Violate these Terms.
• •Engage in fraud or deceptive practices.
• •Abuse other users.
• •Repeatedly post prohibited listings.
• •Use Bukiia in a manner that harms the Platform or its community.

Account suspension or termination may occur without prior notice where necessary to protect the Platform or other users.

12. Intellectual Property

The Bukiia name, logo, branding, website, software, and content are owned by Bukiia and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the photographs and content you upload, but by posting them on Bukiia you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for operating, promoting, and improving the Platform.

13. Third-Party Services

Bukiia may provide links to third-party services, including WhatsApp.

We do not control or endorse these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or actions.

14. Disclaimer

Bukiia is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding:

• •The accuracy of listings.
• •The availability of books.
• •The conduct of buyers or sellers.
• •The quality, authenticity, or condition of any book.
• •The success of any transaction.
• •Continuous or error-free operation of the Platform.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bukiia and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from:

• •Transactions between users.
• •Payment disputes.
• •Delivery disputes.
• •Lost profits.
• •Loss of data.
• •Fraud committed by users.
• •User-generated content.
• •Temporary interruptions or technical issues.

Users assume all risks associated with buying and selling through the Platform.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bukiia and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• •Your use of the Platform.
• •Your listings.
• •Your transactions.
• •Your violation of these Terms.
• •Your violation of any law or third-party rights.

17. Privacy

Your use of Bukiia is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Bukiia shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cameroon.
