How Delivery Works on Bukiia

A Marketplace, Not a Courier

One of the most important things to understand about Bukiia is what it is not. Bukiia is a marketplace rather than a dedicated delivery company. It provides the infrastructure for buying and selling — the listings, the orders, the payments, the records, and the protection mechanisms — but it does not itself deliver products.

Delivery is arranged between the buyer and the seller. The seller remains responsible for fulfilling the order and ensuring that the product reaches the buyer according to the applicable transaction terms. How that happens depends on the parties, their locations, the product, and the arrangements they agree.

How Delivery Arrangements Are Made

Delivery arrangements may depend on several factors: the buyer's location, the seller's location, the product, the product's size, urgency, available transport services, the seller's delivery policy, and any agreement between buyer and seller.

Because delivery is separate from the Bukiia payment process, any delivery cost is agreed and settled directly between the buyer and seller. Bukiia does not calculate or collect delivery fees.

Delivery Methods

The method of delivery is flexible. Possible methods include a local rider, a courier, a transport agency, a bus or transport service, a driver, seller delivery, or pickup. The exact method should be recorded in the order where applicable, so that both parties and Bukiia have a record of how the product was sent.

The Seller's Responsibility

A seller's responsibility does not necessarily end when the seller hands a parcel to a driver or courier. The seller remains responsible for ensuring that the product reaches the buyer according to the applicable Bukiia transaction terms.

This is a meaningful point. Handing a parcel to a third party is not the same as delivering it. If a delivery problem occurs, Bukiia may review seller information, buyer information, delivery provider information, shipment evidence, delivery references, communication records, and order records to establish what happened.

Delivery References

A delivery reference helps the buyer identify or follow up on the shipment. It may be a tracking number, a courier reference, a driver's phone number, a rider's phone number, a transport reference, or other appropriate delivery information.

Sellers should provide a delivery reference where one exists. It gives the buyer a way to follow the shipment and gives Bukiia something concrete to review if a problem arises.

Why the Record Matters

Because delivery happens outside Bukiia's direct control, the order record is what allows delivery issues to be reviewed fairly. The shipping information, the delivery reference, and any communication between the parties together establish what was sent, how, and whether it arrived.

Delivery on Bukiia works because the parties arrange it themselves — and because the process leaves a record that can be examined when needed.
