Establishing What Happened
A dispute is not a contest between two accounts. It is an attempt to establish a single account of what actually occurred. Bukiia's investigation exists to answer that question as accurately as the available evidence allows.
This is why the investigation is evidence-based rather than argument-based. The goal is not to decide who argued more persuasively, but to determine what the record shows.
The Questions the Investigation Answers
Bukiia reviews the available evidence to determine several things. What was purchased? What did the seller promise? What did the seller actually ship? Was it delivered? What did the buyer receive? What condition was it in? What evidence supports each party's position? Who is responsible for the problem?
Each of these questions corresponds to a part of the transaction record. The listing establishes what was promised. The order establishes what was paid and purchased. The shipping evidence establishes what was dispatched. Delivery references establish whether and where it arrived. Photographs establish condition. Messages establish what was discussed.
How Evidence Is Gathered
Bukiia may communicate with the buyer, seller, or delivery provider through available communication channels, including WhatsApp or email where necessary. Support staff may message the parties individually to request additional evidence.
This individual contact is deliberate. It allows each party to provide information without the influence of a shared conversation, and it allows Bukiia to gather material from both sides before reaching a conclusion. If you are contacted, respond promptly and provide what is relevant and truthful.
What the Investigation Is Not
The investigation is not a presumption that the buyer is right. Nor is it a presumption that the seller is right. Opening a dispute does not establish guilt, and marking an order as shipped does not establish fulfillment.
Bukiia does not assume that a buyer is automatically correct simply because a dispute was opened, nor that a seller is automatically correct simply because an order was marked as shipped. The objective is to establish what happened and apply the relevant policy fairly.
Why This Approach Matters
An investigation that presumed one party correct would be neither fair nor trusted. Sellers would be vulnerable to false claims; buyers would be vulnerable to sellers who ship carelessly and hide behind a shipment record.
By examining evidence from both sides, Bukiia aims to reach outcomes that reflect the actual transaction — protecting buyers against genuine problems and protecting sellers against unsupported claims. That balance is what makes the process credible for everyone who uses it.
Cooperating With the Investigation
Both parties have a role in the investigation. Buyers and sellers should respond to requests for information, provide evidence truthfully, and communicate clearly. Cooperation speeds the process and improves the quality of the decision. Non-cooperation does not prevent a decision — it simply means the decision is made on the evidence that is available.
