Payment Received Is Not Payment Earned

For new sellers, one of the most important things to understand is that a buyer paying for an order does not mean the seller immediately receives the money as withdrawable funds.

These are two separate events. The buyer's payment is recorded when it succeeds. The seller's payout becomes eligible later, once the applicable order conditions have been satisfied. Between those two points, the funds are held — not because Bukiia doubts the seller, but because the transaction is not yet complete.

The Payout Model

The general model follows a clear sequence:

Buyer pays → Funds held → Seller fulfills → Buyer receives → Confirmation and dispute period → Payout eligible → Payout processed

Each step exists to ensure that funds are released only when the transaction has genuinely concluded. If the product was never delivered, or if a serious problem is reported, the funds remain held until the matter is resolved.

When Payout Becomes Eligible

A seller becomes eligible for payout when the applicable order completion conditions have been satisfied. This may occur after buyer confirmation, after the applicable confirmation period passes without a valid dispute, or after a dispute is resolved in the seller's favour.

The principle is consistent: payout follows completed fulfillment. A seller who has delivered what was promised, with no unresolved problem, becomes entitled to the funds.

How Confirmation Works

On Bukiia, an order completes when the buyer confirms delivery. When the buyer confirms, the transaction concludes and the seller becomes eligible for payout according to the applicable conditions.

If a buyer does not confirm, the admin may contact the buyer to ask them to mark the order as delivered. The seller may also contact the buyer to request confirmation, or involve the admin where the buyer does not respond. This gives sellers a route to resolve orders that have been fulfilled and delivered but not yet confirmed.

Disputed Orders

If a dispute is raised, the relevant seller payout may be held while Bukiia reviews the evidence. The buyer and seller may be contacted, and the dispute is resolved according to the applicable policy.

Possible outcomes include a refund, a partial refund, a replacement, a return and refund, or a seller payout. An active dispute takes precedence over payout — the funds remain held until resolution.

Withdrawing Your Earnings

Seller earnings become available for withdrawal after the applicable payout process is completed. Sellers withdraw funds manually rather than receiving automatic withdrawals.

This means the seller initiates a withdrawal request when they want to move available funds out of the wallet through a supported method. Withdrawal requests may be subject to available balance, withdrawal requirements, payment method availability, applicable limits, and verification requirements.

If a Withdrawal Fails

If a withdrawal fails, check your withdrawal information first. Confirm that your account meets the withdrawal requirements. Review the transaction status.

If the issue continues, contact Bukiia Support and provide the relevant transaction or withdrawal reference. As always, never share your Mobile Money PIN or account password — Bukiia Support will not ask for them.

Payout on Bukiia is not instantaneous, and that is by design. The hold between payment and payout is what makes Buyer Protection possible. Sellers who understand the process know when to expect their funds and why the timing works as it does.
