Your Bukiia account is more than a login. It holds your orders, your messages, your wallet balance, your personal information, and — if you sell — your store, your earnings, and your business records. It is the centre of your activity on the platform, and its security matters accordingly.

Protecting your account is mostly about a few consistent habits. None of them are complicated, but applied together, they prevent the situations that cause real damage.

Use Strong, Unique Credentials

Use strong, unique credentials for your Bukiia account, and do not share them with other people. A password that is reused across multiple services is only as secure as the weakest service that uses it. If one account is compromised, the same credentials can be used to access others.

Choose a password that is difficult to guess and not used elsewhere. If you use Google authentication, ensure that Google account is itself properly protected.

Keep Credentials Private

Never share your Bukiia password with anyone. Bukiia staff should not require your password to provide normal support. This is one of the clearest signals of a legitimate interaction: no genuine Bukiia process depends on knowing your password.

The same applies to your Mobile Money PIN, one-time passwords, verification codes, and payment authentication credentials. These exist to protect you, and they are only useful to someone trying to bypass that protection.

Watch for Suspicious Activity

Contact Bukiia if you notice unknown activity, unexpected orders, unknown messages, unexpected account changes, or unauthorized payment activity.

These signals matter because account compromise is often not immediately obvious. A strange order, a message you did not send, or a change you did not make may be the first indication that someone else has access.

If you notice any of these, change your password where appropriate and secure any connected accounts — particularly your email, since your email is the route to account recovery.

Keep Notifications On

Bukiia notifications may inform users about orders, payments, messages, delivery, disputes, seller activity, and account information. Keep notifications enabled where possible so that important transaction updates are not missed.

Notifications are not just convenient. They are an early warning system. An unexpected notification about an order or a payment may be how you first discover that something is wrong.
