Protection Built on Process, Not Promises

Buyer Protection is not a slogan, and it is not a guarantee that every purchase will be perfect. It is a set of processes designed to help protect eligible buyers when a transaction paid through the applicable Bukiia payment process encounters a serious problem.

The distinction matters. Buyer Protection is based on evidence and policy. It is not an automatic refund mechanism, and it does not presume that the buyer is always right. What it provides is a fair, structured way to examine what happened and reach a resolution according to the facts.

What Buyer Protection Is

Buyer Protection is a process. When an eligible transaction goes wrong, the buyer can report a problem, and Bukiia will review the evidence — the listing, the order record, the shipping evidence, any communication, and any documentation provided by either party — to establish what occurred.

Where the evidence supports the buyer's claim, a resolution follows. That resolution may be a refund, a partial refund, a replacement, a return and refund, or another permitted outcome, depending on the circumstances.

What Buyer Protection Is Not

Buyer Protection is not an automatic refund guarantee. Opening a dispute does not mean the buyer receives a refund, and it does not mean the seller is considered guilty. It means Bukiia will review the transaction.

Buyer Protection is also not a general change-of-mind policy. It does not cover a buyer who no longer wants the product, found a cheaper option elsewhere, ordered the wrong item, or expected something the listing did not promise. It is designed for genuine transaction problems, not for regrets.

Who It Protects

Buyer Protection is designed primarily for buyers, but it protects sellers too. Just as a buyer is not automatically correct simply because a dispute was opened, a seller is not automatically at fault simply because an order was marked as shipped. The process examines evidence from both sides and applies the applicable policy fairly.

This balance is the point. A protection system that favoured one side would be neither trusted nor sustainable. Buyer Protection works because it aims to establish what actually happened.

The Conditions That Apply

Buyer Protection applies to eligible transactions paid through the designated Bukiia payment process. Transactions paid directly outside the protected Bukiia payment process may not be covered. This is why paying through Bukiia matters — it is what brings a transaction within the protection framework.

Buyer Protection also operates within defined deadlines. Disputes should be submitted within the applicable claim or review period displayed for the order, and problems should be reported as soon as reasonably possible.

A Fair Process, Applied Consistently

Buyer Protection exists because buying from someone you do not know carries inherent uncertainty. It does not eliminate that uncertainty, but it ensures that when something goes wrong, there is a process — based on evidence, applied consistently, and available to both sides — for reaching a resolution.
